Lady Mayor's Day - Saturday 8 November 2025
Lady Mayor's Day dawned overcast and grey, but it could not stifle the joy of those taking part in the parade. Seventy seven Livery Companies were formed in the City of London prior to 1709 and this year our Master, Wardens and Liveryman, Emily Borg, joined with representatives from 32 of those to walk under the banner of the "Senior Livery Companies".

There was a good view of the Lady Mayor arriving in a sparkling gold coach, accompanied by the Pikemen and musketeers, at the Royal Courts of Justice to swear allegiance to the monarch.
And, as the golden coach stood outside the Royal Courts of Justice, the sun began to peek through.

The return journey along the Embankment was made in sunshine.
Our walkers did make a detour on the final few hundred meters to pay a visit to the plaque on Noble Street which marks the position of Scriveners' Hall in the 17th Century. And look, they're still smiling. A great day out supporting the Lady Mayor.
